Saturday, July 19, University Falls
aka Pilot Creek Falls, is a wonderful little swimming hole at the
small town of Quintette, near Georgetown. The waterfall is a long slide
of about 70 ft. in total height, dropping into a number of small pools.
The final (and largest) cascade is about 30 ft. high. The falls would be
more impressive in the spring, but the swimming holes and water slides
here are very popular during the hot summer months with the locals. It
is very very busy here on summer weekends. Be careful though when
sliding down these falls: people have been injured before. Sacramento

Summer Hikes
The hiking schedule is pretty thin during these hot summer months.
Philip & Sarah take frequent early morning hikes (7:30 or 8am) at the
Traverse Creek Staging Area (aka Meadowbrook) in Garden Valley. If
you're interested in taking a short (1-2 hour) and not very steep hike
