Mace Mill Loop                                                                    MAP

Mace Mill is a three mile ridge that separates Little Silver Creek from Rock Creek. It takes its name from an old sawmill that once operated there. Mace Mill is a main staging area for motorcycles especially on weekends but a nice loop trail parallels both sides of the ridge offering an easy 6 mile loop for hikers or mt. bikers also.

The trail is undulating up and down and back and forth through Manzanita and young forest providing views west at Hotchkiss hill and east at Sugarloaf and Bald mountains. Beyond the parking area at the end of Mace Mill a faint trail leads to plane wreckage from a small plane that went down there in the 1970’s.
