Norton Ravine More BLM land beyond the gate of Cronan Ranch is available for hiking enthusiasts. Equestrians have been using this route for many years to get from Equestrian Way to the Cronan Ranch property (see Satin’s map). Access via Cronan may be our only option if the Equestrian Way route gets blocked. Again, housing build outs threaten to end the paradise of travel we’ve enjoyed for so long.
An old road passes beyond the gate and
traces along high above the river winding in and out of the creek
canyons. Norton Creek is the first ravine to be negotiated as the road
cuts in to provide a safe and reliable crossing near much mining metal
junk. The road then continues above the river to eventually tie into
Equestrian Way.
