Trail description: American Canyon and Hoboken Canyon are two of the many obscure watersheds that feed into the M.Fk.Am.R. At about one mile, you will come to a signed trail junction. Bear right and at the next junction take the left fork to American Canyon. You will cross American creek, then Hoboken creek, at about 1.0 mile past the junction. These creeks may be impassable at times of high water. You will reach a grassy area (which was once the site of a wine garden in the 1870’s to the 1930’s) and the signed “Dead Truck” trail junction to the right. Go left down the steep indistinct trail to the creek and a beautiful pool with a hidden waterfall. Returning to the main trail, you will continue for dramatic views of the M.Fk.Am.R. and a pleasant picnic site at the river. After lunch, return to the trailhead by reversing the outbound route.

Camping: No camping is allowed along this trail.
