10 miles from Georgetown. 2 miles of easy trails (great for children)
This is a small area 1 mile west of Coloma between Hwy 49 and the river. It’s practically level and wheelchair accessible. Managed by the BLM it provides easy access to the river with remnant mining ruins of tailing piles and dug out creek bottoms. With meandering paths that loop around on nearly level terrain, the youngest toddlers can enjoy an outdoor experience. The area is easy to find with its rock entrance and large sign.
