All trails in this book have been subjectively rated based on the degree of difficulty, steepness of the trail, and the skill level required to successfully complete the hike. Trail ratings are as follows: Easy=A, Moderate=B, Moderately Strenuous=C, Strenuous=D, Very Strenuous=E.
An “A” trail is easy to follow, is nearly level, and is relatively short. An “E” trail may be faint in places, might involve steep and long climbs, and may require a long day.
A trail rated “Easy” would put a on everyone’s face.
A trail rated “Moderate” would put a on everyone’s face.
A trail rated “Moderately Strenuous” would put a on everyone’s face.
A trail rated “Strenuous” would put a on everyone’s face.
