Centrally located near downtown off Racetrack Avenue, this is the main downtown park where the ARD activities office is located. The park features a gymnasium, the Marsha Skinner Sierra swimming pool, and the Stella Irving dance studio among many other amenities. In 2011 the park added a cute paved path that wanders around its perimeter and gives access to the parks 3 baseball fields, a basketball court, volleyball court, pitching cage, 2 children’s playgrounds, and refurbished picnic and barbeque areas. Beyond the back fence you will find horse-shoe pits near the downhill Union Pacific railroad line. Wave to the cheerful passengers riding Amtrak to Sacramento as they head towards Auburn’s famous Bloomer’s Cut.
