Slide Point Trail

27 miles from Georgetown. Moderate 1-1/2 miles round trip.          MAP

Little known trail, shorter than Lawyer Bar Trail, that offers access to another great swimming hole at the Rubicon River. This trail long ago, once connected Ellicott’s Trail to the lost Belix Trail. The only portion remaining is the section from 11 Pines Rd. to the Rubicon.

Directions: Go Wentworth Springs Rd. to 11 Pines Rd. 23.1 miles, Go L. Drive another 4 miles and look for the obscure old NOT maintained trail coming down on the right. It’s an open, gentle grade, sometimes with motorcycle tracks illegally planted that indicate the trails presence. The trail you are looking for is on the Left side across from the more obvious one.
