Trail description: Enjoy awe-inspiring views of the Rubicon River Canyon, and delightful Pilot Creek as you cross it on a beautiful footbridge. The trail continues up the other side of the canyon to Nevada Point. When the river level is low, you can wade across to this extension of the trail and walk to Nevada Point, about 4 miles round trip from the river. This portion of the trail is little used, and can become confusing and faint near the top of the ridge. Use caution to avoid becoming lost.

Campsites: Several sites are found near the river.
